Felt Lace Dress. Worn in Paris.
The Gates Dress, was originally designed to be a gate across the front of a large stone house property, as an installation, in some non specific European village. The hem picot points are the “top” of the gate, and the motif is a representation of a surrounding gate. This dress is made from drapey organic Rambouillet wool, which contrasts the hard cold iron and protective killing spike points. In a moment of inspiration, I decided to turn it into a dress.
